Who we are...
RR Books (also Reading Reading Books, LLC) is a publisher of quality books for beginning readers. Our books are specifically designed for new readers! They are based on topics and events that are important to children. The text is clear and basic, yet very readable. The illustrations and photographs are purposefully direct, encouraging the reader to focus on the words and story. Each book also possesses an introduction to the story on the back cover. This brief paragraph is perfect for teachers and parents to read aloud. It's written to generate prior knowledge and pique interest in the story.
Our books are ideal for a variety of students in pre-K, Kindergarten, first grade and beginning second grade. Our books are so versatile that teachers may use them for reading group instruction or independent reading. They are also perfect for tutors, intervention programs, home reading, and more!
Over 275 of our books are included on the Reading Recovery® Council of North America Book List and over 350 of our books are included on The Fountas and Pinnell® Leveled Book List. We are also pleased to offer over 150 titles on the Accelerated ReaderTM Book List.
What does "RR" stand for?
RR Books stands for Reading Reading Books, LLC, our full company name. The first R stands for Reading (pronounced “Redding”), Pennsylvania, where the company was founded. The second R stands for the guided reading books that we publish!
